MEDICAL RESIDENCY PROGRAM IN UAE / EMIRATES(ABU DHABI, DUBAI, ALAIN)

The subject medicine is as elusive as it sounds, it  seems impossible to some  to master it, and very interesting to a few with brilliance. none the less it a branch where every parents wants to push their children into.am I sounding too harsh, well the reality is harsh. its such a subject not meant for everyone it demands every bit of knowledge you have in your head ranging from science t mathematics to chemistry. Any way not here to write about medicine all this study just to pass bachelors in medicine(MBBS) right ! Now imagine studying further in a specialty subject of your choosing. Heres a catch you have to study and work in your specialty training commonly known as Residency training. Now already your are 25 years old just to finish your MBBS and internship and to pursue another course is pretty hard and discouraging.But it’s a good news for residents In UAE. Now you can give residency exams in uae and work in a prestigious hospital in Abu dhabi and Dubai and off-coarse get a handsome salary and the end of month.so this way you can earn a living and do your studies, splendid isn’t it. yeah its everyone's dream to study in Dubai so heres  your chance… Just follow the steps below and give your exam.

There are two parts to get into the Residency program

**First part involves you to pass the Residency exam.

**Second part is for you to apply in the Tanseeq(Residency matching program).

   #Tanseeq will match you according to your choice of subjects and Hospital.Theres no gurantee that you will get  a chance the first time.AND PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO EMIRATIS 1^ST ,if you are an expat living in UAE your chances of getting into the program are not very high…. Unless you do extremely good.

RESIDENCY EXAMINATION

*ELIGBILITY:

1)Passing from a recognized ‘WHO’ registered medical college.

2)completion of one year internship.(or you can give the exam but your internship must be completed within july of that year.)

3)Residency permit of UAE.( i.e resident visa is a must)

4)Emirates identity card.

5)IELTS might be necessary .it will be needed if you pass the residency exam and its requirement varies from college to college.

*EXAMINATION VENUE:

COLLEGE OF MEDICINE AND SCIENCE, just beside TAWAM HOSPITAL, ALAIN

*EXAM TYPE:

CBT( Computer based testing)

MCQ, 120QUESTION, No Negetive marking.

Have to select only 1 option out of 4.

Language: ENGLISH only.

*Exam resources: 

USMLE STEP-2 CK/CS

SUBJECT: MEDICINE, SURGERY, GYNAE & OBS, PAEDIATRICS, FAMILY MEDICINE/ AMBULATORY CARE,PSYCHIATRY , PUBLIC HEALTH & RESEARCH . IN average 20-25 questions comes from the major subjects.

*PASS MARK: It is 55% ,but its not like you can get 80%in one subject and get 30% in another and you will pass, their making varies on question to question so  you have to do decently in most of the subjects in order to pass.

*EXAM FEES:

 650DH PAID ONLINE VIA CREADIT CARD.

*EXAM DATES: In general the exam occurs 5 times in a year. Starts from December and ends in March.

DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR PASSPORT AND EMORATES ID CARD ON THE EXAM DAY.
